"By simply stopping the criminals, like Batman," he said. He leapt for her, but planted one foot as he came into range. He was going to dodge to the side as soon as he saw her make her move, evade the sword, and then get into her.

She saw him move but instead of rushing for him she ran backwards. Keeping him at a distance was good. And it would be a better if she gave herself a little more time before going into assault flurry mode. She didn't want to use up all her strength. Her sword remained in front of her, prepared to deflect blows.

He pushed himself forward again. He was going to collide with her and just go right into her; he needed to take her down, and fast.

Alice moved further back but eventually she made a strand, estoc out in front of her. She'd try to push him back with her sword.

He didn't stop; he rushed her.

He collided with her and she was knocked back. She tightened her grip on her sword and tried her hardest to stand against him and remain on her feet. She pushed against him with her sword. If he landed on top of her she wasn't sure she could worm her way out of his hold. She could not fall! But this would be tricky. He was much stronger and momentum was certainly on his side.

He grabbed at her arms and tried to rotate and toss her, just to hit her into the wall and shake her up. That, with the initial tackle should hopefully free her sword from grip.

He was stronger and at the moment she didn't have much room to maneuver. She was painfully slammed into the wall but she kept her grip on her estoc. She was a bit disoriented but she tried to push away from the wall and fix her stance. Being unsteady was very bad for this fight.

He pulled her and tried to sweep out her feet at the same time.

She was pulled but she managed to jump over the feet that tried to sweep her. She had always been very good at jump rope. She still refused to drop her blade.

He shouted and used all of the strength he could muster to throw her.

She could feel him throwing her. This was not going to be fun. Instead of fighting against him she allowed herself to be thrown and used the momentum and force to execute a back flip. It would have been impossible to do with her sword so she threw it high up into the air before she stuck her landing. She had timed and positioned it well so that she could catch it afterwards. Hopefully the man wouldn't intercept the blade. That would be a real problem.

He ran towards her as soon as he saw her flipping. He wasn't going to get the blade first, but he slid and aimed a punch for her face.

As her fingers closed around the hilt a punch landed in her face and she saw stars as she was pushed back. She couldn't see properly but she moved her sword defensively out in front of her. Her vision would clear in a minute and until then she would be forced to rely on feel and instinct. But she had her sword. Hopefully she could fend him off.

He ducked and quietly slipped behind her, aiming for a kidney punch.
