Overview: Cissie can seem like the typical blonde airhead at times. She certainly dresses fashionably enough, and she can ditz it up with the best of them. However, she’s actually very intelligent. She’s a skilled fighter, brave, but knows when she can’t win and when it’s better to simply surrender. This is born from a deep-seated care for her friends, and she’d do anything, even sacrifice her own life, for her friends.
However, she can’t take another life. If she were to even seriously entertain the idea of killing a man, she would be overtaken with regret. She’s gone into a state of near-catatonia before, after she almost killed a mugger.
Other Equipment:
- Her trick arrows. Unlike her idol, the Hood, she’s made some special arrows for use in combat. She has arrows that emit knockout gas, flashbang arrows, grappling arrows, etc.
- Her tools. She has a variety of tools for maintaining and making the team weaponry.
History
Cissie was born to a single mother; her father having run off upon finding out her mother was pregnant. Luckily, her mother was fairly successful, so Cissie got to live a fairly middle class life. Her mother wanted her to get a hobby, so she took up archery after trying it at summer camp. She got incredibly good, but her mother decided that archery was too violent a hobby, so she bought her a technology kit. Cissie discovered a knack for technology, and she continued her little hobby. She even built some simple little gadgets for funsies when she was in high school.
In middle school, she met Stephanie Brown. The two hit it off, and became besties by the time they were in high school. In perfect timing for Cissie to discover her bisexuality, and the fact that she was crushing on her best friend. HARD. Cissie kept this under wraps fairly well, but she’s afraid that if she doesn’t admit it, it’ll kill her. To help her deal with the stress, she took up archery again.
When Stephanie’s mom died, Cissie offered that Steph to move in with her, partially out of caring for her friend and partially out of wanting to be near her crush. She began following the exploits of the Hood in Starling, seeing as how he was the only really notable archer hero. She began to idolize him somewhat. When Stephanie approached her with the possibility to join the Teen Titans, Cissie hopped onboard immediately. She commissioned a suit similar to the Hood’s. Of course, with some touches of her own, and the addition of the goggles. She’s been working with the Titans ever since, maintaining their weapons.
