"Hmm...So we are hoping to permanently open the way to the real Wonderland then," she thought out loud. "Do you have a message for your counterpart?" she asked. "If you're trying to put together the pieces here maybe your other self can think of something useful. I can ask him for you."

"I don't know," he said, "I have a feeling he won't be able to help with this."

"Sometimes it's really hard to make sense of what he says but deep down he really is a genius. And he's the other you! He thinks like you but is exposed to a whole different environment. An outsider might be able to get a better handle on what you're trying to accomplish. Especially an outsider who thinks like you. And don't forget he lives in Wonderland. He might know something about the portal's patterns. And if you've seen Wonderland maybe that means he's seen this world. If that is the case he could give us a really interesting perspective."

"Alright," he said, "Next time you see him, just ask him if he has any thoughts."

She nodded. "I'll ask him but I doubt I'll understand his answer. You'd have better luck with that. I'll record what he says and give it to you next time I see you." Of course she had no idea when that would be. She wandered all over the place; and, she had no idea where he lived or how to contact him. She didn't ask. She figured he'd contact her when he wanted her help.

He nodded, "I look forward to that time," he said simply.

Oh no! He looked forward to it? She certainly hoped his other self had something useful to say. She hoped Mad Hatter would understand Wonderland Mad Hatter. So much pressure! Well she could only ask Mad Hatter for advice. Then it was up to Jervis.
"Is the white rabbit going to help too?" she asked eagerly. "And why is red queen only a potential?" She wondered who they were and what they were like. Was the white rabbit an actual rabbit or a person?

"I need to convince the rabbit," he told her, "She's here tonight. It didn't go well earlier, but I'll get her. And the queen is a Queen in name only. There might be better picks yet."

"Maybe I could help convince the rabbit," she chirped.

"Not today, but soon I'll get your help," he said. It would be useful to have her, especially since he doubted she'd come along willingly.

She nodded. "If she wasn't agreeable you probably don't want to pressure her." She had plenty to do as it was what with her targets and now tracking down the Wonderland Mad Hatter and asking for advice.
"So then...We also need to look for the Cheshire cat, the caterpillar, the march hare, and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Hmm...Am I missing anyone?"

"I don't think so," he said, although he'd heard things. He might have answers for the cat and twins...

"I've run into twins but I don't know if they're similar enough to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum," she thought out loud. Not like she really knew how similar they had to be. These were counterparts, raised in a completely different environment. They wouldn't be identical.

"I'm sure we'll find them soon enough."

Gender didn't seem to matter too much. Not if the white rabbit was female. The twins she'd seen were female but that didn't necessarily count them out. If she ran into them again she'd try to strike up a conversation.
She nodded. "We're not in a hurry." Alice was lucky. She didn't have to wait. She at least occasionally got to visit Wonderland. Still no sign of her parents but she was sure she would find them one day. And maybe soon she'd catch a lucky break and figure out how was responsible for their deaths. Whoever was, was going to die slowly and painfully.
