"You see, I live here, in this world, where I was born. But I've seen Wonderland, I believe in it. I'm able to see myself for who I was meant to be, who I have the potential to become. That's how this works for me," he explained.

Alice hugged the mad hatter tightly. "I'm so glad I found someone else who believes! My uncle said he did but I fear that he was lying. He always got really upset whenever I talked about it. He told me that people would think I was mad so I should keep quiet about it."

"I don't think you're mad," he told her, "Others might view us as it, but we're not. We just see the world how it should be," he told her.

"Really?! You actually believe me?!" she repeated somewhat surprised. She had half expected him to say he had been joking this entire time. "But...How can we bring it here?" she asked, confused. "Is it really possible to make this world like that? I mean...Sometimes gravity doesn't even work properly there."

"We just have to start by collecting the pieces of the puzzle," he told her, "We are two, I've seen those who can be two more. With enough people we can make it reality."

"I'm a piece of the puzzle?!" she asked delighted. She performed a celebratory cartwheel. "So you're the mad hatter. You said you've seen the white rabbit and a potential red queen." Alic shifted her weight a bit nervously. "I hope this red queen won't try and behead me," she said anxiously. The Wonderland version had attempted it just the other day.

"No, this Red Queen is harmless," he told her, "You can trust me on that one."

Alice beamed at that. "Oh!" she clapped her hands together. "How rude of me! I haven't properly thanked you yet! It was your counterpart that saved me the other day! See there were these very forgetful cards. They accidentally planted white roses instead of red. They were painting the roses red to disguise their mistake but the queen found out and ordered their execution! I was trying to help them escape and well...It got really messy! If your Wonderland self hadn't given me that cookie and hid me in the teapot..." Alice shivered. She picked up her blue backpack and pulled out a book.
"Here! As a thank you!" She held out the leather book and inside was a pressed red rose. "Sometimes I can bring things back from Wonderland but they're never the same. This rose was one of the white ones painted red but here it's just an ordinary rose." She placed the book in his hands. "Thanks again!"

He smiled and looked at it. He looked up to her, "Thank you my dear Alice," he told her, "I am sure we will see each other again soon, and we can begin creating Wonderland."

Alice bobbed her head up and down excitedly. "Just let me know if there's anything I can do to help! I certainly owe you a favor!" she said eagerly. "And I want to help! I can't believe I found someone else who has seen Wonderland! So if there's anything I can do, anything at all please don't hesitate to ask!" She barely used it, only for real emergencies but she did have a cellphone. She dug through her backpack again and extracted pen and paper. She wrote the name Alice followed by a number and handed it to the Mad Hatter. "You can contact me at this number," she explained cheerfully.

He wanted to say 'I know' because he understood how phones worked, but he just nodded and smiled, "I will be in touch then," he told her, "And I hope that we will soon have our next members. If you see anyone else who might fit in our world, please, do your best to get them."

Something about his choice of words troubled her. "If we can make this world like Wonderland won't most everyone fit in?" she asked. "What happens to the ones who don't?"

"All we need to do is find those who fit, and we can find our way to Wonderland," he explained.

"But you said we could make Wonderland here, in this world," she said confused. "So are we finding a way to permanently reside in Wonderland or are we trying to make our own?" She wasn't trying to be difficult. She simply didn't understand. And you couldn't really help if you didn't understand.

"Apologies," he said, "If we try to make it here, we make it here. I believe that by doing that we'll open the way to the real Wonderland. But if it doesn't work, we have our own."
