Overview:
Jervis is pretty damn insane. He’s schizophrenic and has no real semblance of who he used to be. He’s turned into a criminal, a murderer, with no compassion, no remorse. He’ll kill randomly at times and just break down at others.
More than anything, Jervis believes himself to be the Mad Hatter, searching for Alice, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, anything.
He has a love of hats, partially for the sake of who he believes himself to be. Despite being insane he holds some useful insight and knowledge about the human brain and how it works.
He can be patient, calm, and just sit and watch. He’s had his dreams on hold for a while, but when he sees things related to them he grows very excited and will often have to do something big, like murder a few people.
He’s obsessive-compulsive, highly delusional, and has some immaturity depending on the task at hand.
His weapon of choice is a set of scissors. He’s creative, making his own clothes for the most part, and he’s perfectly willing to work with others, he’s just not overly trustworthy. He’s lost his accent for the most part, but it often comes and goes.

History
Jervis was born in London, and his favorite story as a child was always Alice in Wonderland. He grew up as an only child, finding solace in books. He didn’t have many friends due to his perceived weirdness over his love of books and fictional worlds.
When he was around ten he started to suffer from schizophrenia. His family moved to America for Jervis’s treatment. He didn’t get much better, and still found solace in his books.
He was eventually placed in an institution for his problems, because his parents were no longer able to deal with him. He spent the next decade or so in the institution before getting out on a short period of time when his parents came to see him.
He proceeded to murder them both, and was sent to Arkham Asylum. He spent the next five years there, but broke out and murdered some more people. He had taken up making clothes as a hobby, so he could blend in on the outside since he didn’t have to look like a runaway inmate.
He heard about the vigilante, but managed to avoid him. When those tales became of Batman (finally, a title for the vigilante, if it was the same person), he decided things had become interesting, so he had to stay out and avoid the Batman so he could live his life.
He still seeks out completion of Wonderland, and the Batman won’t stop him. He murders as he goes, as he sees fit, and is so far avoiding arrest.
