Relationships:
Overview: Paul’s eye condition has driven him entirely out of his gourd. He’s mostly silent, and he treats his victims like bolts of cloth, not even acknowledging that they’re alive. It’s a rare situation when he decides to keep someone alive, but it’s not out of empathy or anything. He just thinks they are so exquisite that it’s not worth including them in a quilt.

History
Paul was born with his eye condition, but it wasn’t discovered until he was old enough to talk. His eyes were immediately examined, and he was diagnosed and given the goggles. However, it was too late to save his sanity. Paul began having troubles with morality at a very young age, and his first kill was the family cat. He used a kitchen knife to skin it, and kept the skin in his room for a few weeks until his parents found out about it.
He was immediately put into counseling, and he was given Ritalin and turned into a zombie. He channeled his urges into a hobby, and took up weaving. This got him ostracized from his school, and he had no friends all throughout school. He didn’t mind, though. His weaving was all he needed, until one day, when he was 15. During school, once of his constant tormentors stole his goggles and hid them. 2 days later, the bully disappeared.
What happened was Paul had kidnapped him and skinned him alive in a warehouse, making his skin into a quilt. The kid was never found, but Paul had gotten away with his first kill, and this only went downhill. Two years later, he kidnapped a girl who was involved with one of his tormentors, but he found himself unable to skin her. So she was the first one he kept alive, sewing her mouth and eyes shut and sewing her into the quilt alive, with only a few holes for her to breathe. He rigged up a crude IV to keep her alive, but she still died after about two months.
He got a job out of school as a weaver, but was let go after about a year and a half for failing to show up on time to work. He has continued his habit, sometimes selling the regular quilts he makes to feed himself and fuel his human quilts.
