- He tends to put his family and friends on a standard above, often refusing to suspect them when it’s entirely logical to or flying into a rage if they’re threatened.
- He puts on an act like he’s a spoiled brat when out of costume, which can push people away
- He often insists on fighting his battles alone, even if backup would be a better idea.

Overview: Ollie was changed by his experience on Lian Yu. However, since this experience involves him becoming the Arrow, he can’t exactly exhibit the effects of this change. So he keeps up his somewhat bratty, devil-may-care playboy attitude from before he vanished. However, to those who know his secret, he’s almost a completely different man. He’s responsible, intelligent and disciplined, but he can be a bit impulsive.
When it comes to his family, he places them on a whole new standard. Even if all of the evidence points to someone in his family being a problem or in trouble, he refuses to suspect them. If someone threatens or harms a member of his family or one of his friends, that person can expect either serious injury or death to be imminent.

History
Oliver was born to Robert and Moira Queen in 1985, and was raised in the good life. He became friends with Tommy Merlyn at a young age, and was spoiled from a young age. When he was 11, his sister Thea was born, and he developed a strong connection to her while engaging in typical older brother behavior. When he was in his early 20’s, he began dating Laurel Lance, and she asked to move in with him when he was 22. However, being the selfish bastard he was then, he was worried a committed relationship would restrict him, so he brought Laurel’s sister Sara with him when he went on a boating trip with his father.
During a storm, the ship wrecked, killing everyone except his father, himself and the captain. They floated in a life raft for a few days, until his father shot the captain and then himself, telling Ollie to “survive”. He washed up on the isolated island of Lian Yu, and encountered a number of people on the island, including Slade Wilson, the man who trained him for the most part. He stayed on the island for five years until he was rescued by a Chinese fishing vessel, and came home.
When he came home, he found his city had gotten even worse. In an effort to try and save it, he used a list his father had left him and began hunting people down. His bodyguard, John Diggle, convinced him to begin targeting normal criminals, and so he did. He’s been operating in Starling for about a year now.
