He stood in the hall, worried that someone might come, whoever sent that. He didn't want her to come back after this, at least not alone.

She did like the dress. She'd seen models wearing this kind of dress, but never had the chance to get one for herself. Whoever sent her this dress knew a good deal about her, and she didn't know if she should regard that as cute or creepy. She was leaning for the second choice.

As they walked, her thoughts turned back to the interesting arrival of the dress. She wondered if it had something to do with her blackouts, and that outfit in her closet.

He escorted her to his limo and sat beside her, "The Ball hasn't started yet," he informed her, "And probably won't until well after we arrive."
