Clothes: He’s pictured above in his mercenary uniform. When he needs to he wears suits to blend into normal society, but he’s often with soldiers and in the middle of combat. He wears a black tank top with tactical pants and combat boots when out of his full garb. He wears this when in actual combat and deployment.

Overview:
Slade is a complex man. He’ll appear as a cold and distant soldier, yet he also appears caring to his men, those who have placed their lives in him (although that care is within reason; he’s not overly open about it, but he cares about the wellbeing of those he knows). When his men die he doesn’t react until he has time to mourn, but even that mourning is brief.
He’s of strong morals, but those morals can be questionable from the perspective of an outsider, such as Bruce Wayne or Oliver Queen. He puts up a very tough front, and follows through with it through lessons that can be deemed cruel, but are necessary to strengthen those he’s training.
He believes that if you’re fighting, you should kill the target and never give them a chance to come back for you. He has no qualms with taking lives, and has little tolerance for those who refuse to. He also looks down upon traitors and will execute them personally, with no signs of hesitation, no matter how long he’s known them or how close he is to them.
Those who prove themselves will always find an ally in Slade. He will remember every transgression against him, however, but will forgive if he sees fit to.
He believes in live training, including full breaking of limbs if need be, on his own men. He’ll also break limbs on his men just to prove points to trainees.
He’s in peak physical and mental condition, being an incredibly strong soldier, skilled in the arts of the sword and firearms. He favors blades, but will use guns when need be. As a martial artist he’s very skilled in boxing, krav maga, pencak silat, and other styles.
He trained both Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen. After Bruce refused actual joining of the League of Shadows, Slade went from being one of the highest ranked members and leader of the mercenaries in their employ to being disgraced. In order to prove his worth to the League he went to Lian Yu with Edward Fyers and a unit of men, where he would torture and then later train Oliver Queen. He seeks redemption, no matter what the cost.

History
Slade was born in Sydney, Australia. His childhood is unknown and presumably unimportant. He joined the Australian military when he came of age, and became a skilled soldier, strong of body, skilled in marksmanship and picked up swordsmanship somewhere along the way.
After his time in the military ended he found work with a group of mercenaries that traveled the world. Slade became nothing more than a nameless soldier, less experienced than he thought he had been. He began to learn, though, but his swordsmanship was still as good as he believed it to be.
He began to learn. His fighting ability picked up, and exceeded that of those who trained him. He caught the eye of Ra’s al Ghul, who eventually put him in charge of the mercenary units that he controlled within the League of Shadows.
Slade took his new job well, and would train many, training them in swordsmanship along with everything that was already trained. Eventually Bruce Wayne would join them for a brief period, and learned a lot from Slade.
He would force Bruce to question his morals, and made him fight a captured bank robber. Bruce was almost killed since he refused to kill, but was rescued, which disappointed Slade. Soon after this Bruce left them for training with Ra’s himself.
Bruce left the League, and Slade was still in his position. However, in a few months when it became more apparent Bruce would not return, Slade was shamed and demoted.
Slade wanted to do anything to redeem himself. He joined Edward Fyers and the soldiers he had hired from the League on a Chinese island called Lian Yu. He would torture Oliver Queen upon his arrival, but would later train him, only to turn against him and lose his right eye in the process.
Slade is still seeking redemption in the eyes of Ra’s, and holds a fierce hate towards both Oliver and Bruce, but Oliver more-so right now.
